FIRST RECONCILIATION / FIRST COMMUNION- Level 2
MANDATORY FIRST RECONCILIATION/COMMUNION RETREAT AND PARENT MEETING – We will conduct this Parent meeting/ Sacramental retreat on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 6:30 PM in the main Church. Our Retreat Master is Mr. Ray Boswell, a professional potter, teacher, and artist, who’s multimedia presentation will engage the senses, inspire, and call us to listen to God’s gentle voice as He shapes and molds us in love. Each family will receive an icon made by Mr. Boswell, a beautiful keepsake. One parent/guardian must be in attendance with the candidate.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION – We will celebrate the Sacrament on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:30AM in the Church NOTE: Children enrolled in an archdiocesan or private Catholic school have the option to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Cyril’s or with their school class where they attend.
MANDATORY FIRST HOLY COMMUNION BANNER RETREAT– Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 6:00PM in the Social Hall. The children will express their creativity by making an individual First Communion banner. All materials will be provided. One parent/guardian is welcome to attend but not required.
MANDATORY FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PRACTICE – Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 6:00PM in the Church. Parents are not required to be present but will need to be there at the close of practice at approximately 8:00 p.m.
RECEPTION OF FIRST HOLY COMMUNION- We will celebrate the Sacrament on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the 12 Noon Mass. All registered St. Cyril families must have their child receive First Holy Communion at St. Cyril regardless as to where the child attends school.
CONFIRMATION- Level 7
MANDATORY CONFIRMATION RETREAT AND PARENT MEETING- We will conduct this Parent Meeting/Sacramental Retreat on Wednesday, November, 8, 2023 at 6:30 PM in the Social Hall/Church. Our Retreat Master is Mr. Ray Boswell, a professional potter, teacher, and artist. We will begin in the Social Hall where Mr. Boswell will have our candidates create their own tea light luminary in unfired clay. Upon completion of that activity, Mr. Boswell will conduct the spiritual part of the Retreat in the Church. One parent/guardian must be in attendance with the candidate.
CONFIRMATION RETREAT AT THE SHRINE OF ST. JOHN NEUMANN– sometime in January or February- date and time to be determined.
MANDATORY CONFIRMATION CANDIDATE/ SPONSOR PRACTICE– Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 3:00PM in the Church. If the sponsor cannot attend, a parent/guardian must be present.
RECEPTION OF CONFIRMATION– We will celebrate the Sacrament on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 4:00PM. The Most Reverend Christopher R. Cooke presiding.
